My name is Miss Soblewski and I am the Family Support Worker here at Manley Park Primary School.

My role in school is to support Parents and Carers get the best possible outcomes for their children during their time at school. This can be achieved by working in partnership with families, offering early intervention work, preventative support, guidance and advice. Being a parent can be an extremely rewarding and happy experience however there can also be times of worry or difficulty.  In times like these gaining support is a positive step for you and your child and this is where I can offer support. I work closely with children and families who are experiencing some form of difficulty, anything from a fall out with their friends, displaying negative behaviours at home or something more complex such as a bereavement in the family or a parental separation. I am friendly, non – judgemental, flexible and responsive to individual family’s needs. At Manley Park Primary School the emotional welfare of our children is of the greatest importance and my role enables me to give our child and families the time and care needed to work through any issues that arise. We can work together to deal with challenges in a positive way in order to break down any barriers to learning so that all our children can be successful and make good progress. If you have any worries that may be affecting the wellbeing of your family, however big or small it may seem or you just need someone to talk to, then please contact me.

I can usually be found at our Infant Site on York Avenue between 8.30am – 4pm Monday - Friday. Or you can call the school on 0161 881 4338 and ask to speak to me. If you prefer you can ask to speak to me via your class teacher, they will take your details and I will call you. Advice and support is confidential although concerns relating to safeguarding will always be dealt with in accordance to the schools Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (which can be found in our Policy section)
