I wanted to let you know about the Governors decision following the informal consultations we have had during the last 6 weeks of the summer term, regarding future work around joining a Multi Academy Trust (CLIC).
During the course of the consultation a number of questions and concerns were raised from both parents and staff. Governors’ felt that while some of these questions could be answered, others could not at this Crucially there was concern that the benefits of joining the CLIC were not clear at this stage.
Having listened to all of the comments received, Governors have decided it would not be prudent to embark on a formal consultation process in September, which would see us working towards moving to join the CLIC. Instead we decided that we should continue to work in collaboration with the schools in the CLIC i.e. Chorlton Park, Old Moat and Rolls Crescent, for at least the next 12 months.
During the next twelve months we will measure how useful the collaboration is and involve a wider group of stakeholders, including parents and staff. So that you will be able to see how we are progressing, we will be developing a series of questions and answers and put key documents on to the web site.
