Welcome to Nursery!
At Manley Park Primary School we believe children learn best when they are healthy, safe and secure, when their individual needs are met, and when they have positive relationships with the adults caring for them. In Nursery we provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment, where children are able to grow in confidence. We ensure that every child receives enjoyable and challenging learning and development experiences tailored to meet their needs.
The Learning Environment
Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and carers. We provide a rich and varied environment which supports children’s learning and development. It gives them the confidence to explore and learn in secure and safe, yet challenging, indoor and outdoor spaces.
The Early Years Foundation Stage classrooms are organised to allow children to independently explore and learn securely and safely.
Each classroom is organised into areas of continuous provision that are displayed and maintained to support children’s experiences as independent learners.
Both the Nursery and Reception children have continuous access to an area of outdoor provision.
Outdoor learning is valued across the Early Years Foundations Stage.

Come and join in the fun we have learning through play!
You are invited to come and share your child’s love of learning at the following Nursery and Reception Stay, Play and Learn sessions.
This year, we are introducing an exciting new way to record, track and share your child’s learning during their time in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We are using a secure, online learning journey called ‘Tapestry’. This will enable staff to take photographs, videos and make written observations of the significant learning your child does at school. You will then have access to this information by logging on with a secure username and password so you can celebrate this learning at home too. Parents/carers can also add their own photos and comments to the journal.
There will be an introduction meeting for Parents on Tapestry on the 15/10/18 at 9:15am at the infants.
We are writing to inform you of some changes that will take place in our Nursery this year. The number of children on roll is lower than we anticipated. We have sought advice and thought carefully about our provision and as a school we have made the decision to split the Nursery into 3 key worker groups, with 12/13 children in each group. We will keep the groups consistent and individual parents will be informed if their child’s key worker will change.
We regret to announce that until further notice there will be NO Baby Club OR Stay and Play. Manley Park apologises for the inconvenience caused and will keep you up to date with any further news.
Welcome to Nursery and the Manley Park family! This half term our theme is "All About Me".
We are settling into Nursery, getting to know each other and getting used to our school
routines. We will be enjoying lots of traditional tales, rhymes and songs and learning through play as we explore our indoor and outdoor environments.
