PE & Sports
At Manley Park children get taught 2 lessons of high quality PE each week including gymnastics, outdoor games, outdoor adventurous activities and movement. Year 4 also take part in weekly swimming lessons. During the summer term all children participate in Sports Day; where house teams of mixed aged pupils compete together rotating around different activities. Children at Manley Park take part in several intra school competitions and have the opportunity to compete against other Manchester Schools as part of the School Games. There are various after school clubs that children can attend including football, karate, athletics, fit kidz, dodgeball and many more!
Girls Football Team
Our girls competed in their first fixtures of the season this week. We won 2 games, drew a game and lost 2 games.
Well done girls!
A huge congratulations to our fabulous cross country runners for participating in our first competition of the new academic year! Our girls team finished in 5th overall and our boys team finished in 9th. All runners displayed fantastic resilience and focus during both parts of the competition. Well done MPPS!
Congratulations to Jemma and Billy for securing their individual places in The Citywide Cross Country Finals. We can’t wait to cheer you on!
School Games Mark Silver Award
We are very proud to announce that Manley Park Primary School had a fantastic year in Physical Education and have successfully been awarded the Silver School Games award during the summer holidays.
This is a fantastic way to begin our new school year and we look forward to challenging ourselves to go for gold!
