There will be a meeting on the 14th March about the SATS and a presentation will be gone through giving information about what your child can expect in the tests.
Year 2 will be visiting ‘Bring Yer Wellies’- a rural outdoor education centre set
in open countryside in Hoghton. Throughout the day the children will be participating in a number of outdoor activities including exploring a small beach, investigating seeds and plants, using our senses to explore different herbs and their importance in the world, learning how to plant properly, visiting a wormery, den building and mini cork boat racing.
We are learning about diversitythis term. Our starting question is:
Can I recognise the beauty of different people and places?
Homework for this half term is also included.
We are now at the exciting time of year when the transition process begins. This is a chance for you (the parents) to meet your children's new class teacher Mr Way or Miss Furey. They have created a powerpoint presentation with all of the information that is needed.
