Spring 2 promises to be an exciting term, with lots of investigations into the choices made around our planet and their impact alongside looking at nature’s impact. We will invest in our P4C learning and grow much of the curriculum from the big ideas and big questions the children generate.
During the Spring term our theme is ‘Social Justice’. This will be linked to all areas of the curriculum, studying the main question of the term will be:
Do I recognise that actions have intended and unintended consequences?
3LD had their class assembly today and talked about inspirational figures and what their qualities were. There was also some fantastic solo music performances from some of the children. There was a tricky maths quiz where the children and parents had to take a while to think about the answers. Pictures can be seen below.
Mr Whittaker's class have been learning about Interdependence this half term. During the assembly the children showcased their fantastic work in Maths, Writing and Spanish. Miss Henderson was very impressed and set the children (and Parents) a challenge - First was to identify techniques used in the writing and next was to identify what the Spanish sentences spoken were.
Pictures of this can be seen below.
Year 3 have been really busy learning about Ancient Egypt. As part of this they had a special drama workshop all day on Monday. Below are some photographs from the day.
