Cricket Club Letter

Due to popular demand, we will be running a cricket club after school for Years 5 and 6, until the end of the school year.

Cricket is a rapidly gaining popularity Sport in Primary Schools, and has always been popular at Manley Park. It is a great way for children to develop socially and learn skills that can be transferred to other sports, the classroom, and beyond! We wish to build a team of players to compete with other Manchester Primary Schools during these up and coming summer months.

The sessions will be priced at £1, which will cover the cost to school for things such as floodlights to the area and travel to play other schools; the staff are very kindly providing their time for free.

The children must wear shorts/tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt/tracksuit top, trainers and bring a drink with them on the day.

There is a maximum of 25 spaces and will be first come first served with payment. There are 9 weeks until the end of May so payment will be £9 initially. This will be non-refundable. If more than 2 sessions are missed then the child will be removed from the group, thereby ensuring that we have a full complement for the team to be able to enter the competitions.

Any children who do not make the first 25 spaces will be placed on a waiting list and notified when a place becomes available.

The club will commence on Tuesday, 14th March 2017 at 3:30pm-4:30pm, and will take place every Tuesday during term time. Please ensure your child is picked up promptly at 4:30pm to avoid any unnecessary distress.
